Agriculture Heritage

Agriculture past and present!

Traveling to Henry County you will view the present agriculture practices in action! Spring or fall you will see farmers working fields, harvesting corn or soybeans and heck you might even pass a few tractors along the back roads! The fertile farm ground and the promise of a good life drew early pioneers to settle in Henry County. Dotting the scenery are small towns and villages telling the stories of the land.

Do you know where your food comes from? Do you know how agriculture heritage lives on? Visit our countryside and experience Henry County’s agricultural heritage! Take a drive to visit Ryan’s Round Barn, the AETA Working Farm Show and Vintage Farm Equipment Show every September, or visit The Big Red Shed in Galva.
