An Ol’ Fashioned Christmas Celebration!

Hidden away and found each year is the timeless Galva Ole Fashioned celebration to be held Saturday, November 26.  A simple home spun artistic and joyful event.  The Galva Arts Council brings the community and its families together at the downtown Arts Council building, which will be abuzz all day.

Ol'Fashion Christmas

A season favorite, Galva’s Mini Tree Festival features local artists and residents who place their seasonal creations, including Christmas trees and wreaths, on display for everyone to view.  Lunch is served from and features a fabulous baked potato bar with trimmings, dessert, and beverage.

At dusk, everyone lines the streets to enjoy the Galva Chamber of Commerce’s lighted parade. It meanders downtown Galva and residents line the street to see lighted floats as melodies fill the air.   It becomes a magical night as Wiley Park is aglow with over 10,000 cheerful Christmas Lights. Walk through the park and enjoy the lights.

Head back to the Galva Arts Council building. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the evening coffeehouse headliner begins at 7 p.m…  A festive  jump-start in store for your holiday spirit.  All musicians and storytellers are invited to join in the open-mic session beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Travel the back roads to Galva this holiday weekend. Bring a friend or two and light your Christmas spirit.
