Known for its "Hog Capitol of the World" celebration, Kewanee is a "City of Choice". Strategically located an equal distance from Peoria and Quad City metro areas it has many ethnicities, which possess a great work ethic and neighborly ideals. Kewanee offers a wide range of activities throughout the summer months including a Farmers Market, Concert Series in Veteran's Park and Kewanee Hog Days held over Labor Day weekend in September.
