Our mission is to promote tourism growth through creative strategic marketing and promotion, and to attract the leisure traveler, small meetings, conventions, sports venues, and tour groups to visit Henry County.

Henry County affords urban visitors distinctive rural experiences where scenic back roads and the Hennepin Canal wind through historic small towns and agricultural landscapes.  Relax and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, assorted recreational activities, and unique shopping found just outside the Quad Cities in rural Illinois.

Link Your Business with Henry County Tourism Bureau

The Henry County Tourism Bureau is designed to increase the level of tourism in Henry County and serves as the leader of local tourism development efforts.

We are a non-profit organization funded through Hotel Occupancy Tax collected by Henry County. With the competition for tourists and the dollars they spend growing more intense, additional funding is necessary to cover the cost of our various marketing and development activities. Without adequate promotion, tour bus organizers and leisure tourists would not know what this area has to offer and would choose other destinations for their visits.

HCTB makes every effort to explore every opportunity to increase exposure for all of our businesses. We offer partnership opportunities each year in co-op advertisements to include print, internet and radio. HCTB works closely with the Illinois Office of Tourism and all partners are listed on Enjoy Illinois.

Tourism meetings are held quarterly on the third Monday of every month, beginning at 6 p.m. at various locations throughout the county. If interested in attending call (309) 761-8473.
