Galva – The City of Go

Spacious parks and friendly neighborhoods showcase Victorian architecture are featured in local homes and throughout the downtown area.  Established in 1854, Galva was named for a seaport in Sweden originally spelled Gefle.  Rich in Swedish tradition Galva  features two large decorative goats, called Gavlebocken.

The progressive community continues to be thrive with a variety of specialty stores, a historical museum, flowering parks and restaurants.  Annual events are surrounded with music, art and community fun! July the skies shine brightly and in December Veteran’s Park glows.
